Looking to get your pistol permit in New York?
This course is required by the state as part of your application process. At the end, you will receive a certificate of completion and be one step closer to reaching that goal.This course fee is $350.00 per person. Course fee includes all handouts and the use of SITC, LLC training equipment for skills and range qualifications.

Family Firearms Safety Fundamentals
Family Firearms Safety Fundamentals Course presented by Safety in the Crosshairs. Educating children about firearms and safety CAN make a difference! During this 60-minute course, SITC instructors discuss the importance of educating children to keep them safe around firearms. We will provide guidance and support for teaching safety and responsibility regarding firearms. Drawing from the USCCA’s Children’s Firearms & Safety Fundamentals curriculum, Instructors Dan and Gillian will cover topics like why, when and how to introduce children to safe and responsible firearms use and your responsibilities as adults in their environment. This is an open forum type course so feel free to bring your questions. This class is for adults-please do not bring youth under the age of 16 years old to the class. This course fee is $45.00 per person.
First Shots® Available for Rifle, Shotgun, Handgun or Pellet Pistol
These are introduction classes for those just getting started in the shooting sports world.
At a First Shots® seminar, you’ll receive:
- An educational introduction to the safe and recreational use of firearms
- A clear understanding of local requirements for owning and purchasing a firearm
- Individual and group training
- A chance to give shooting a try!
NRA Basic Rifle Shooting Course
This course is at least 14 hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot rifles. All fees are include in price. No personal firearms or ammo are permitted on camp.
NRA Basic Shotgun Shooting Course
This course is at least ten-hours long and includes classroom and range time learning how to shoot shotguns at moving targets. All fees are include in price. No personal firearms or ammo are permitted on camp.
Private Firearm Instruction
This course is for anyone who wants to learn how to shoot; or just get some valuable pointers on how to improve your stance, grip, offhand shooting, and accuracy. Instructors work with the students in a one-on-one, private enviornment.
